Finding The Elusive Medals

Medals are hard to come by (I personally think their exsistance is a myth) but i've heard of a strategy that [might] increase the odds of finding one...
1st - fill your valley quota and leave an open valley close to your town.
2- Attack that valley and kill all the enemy.
3- When troops auto-return, send wave after wave of quick 'scout only' attacks
the object is to get in 15-20 consecutive attacks before the valley can regenerate defenses, thus increasing the odds a medal will drop
this is 2nd hand info, but has a ring of logic to it. if it works/doesn't work for you..let us know.
